“LIFE IS EITHER A DARING ADVENTURE OR NOTHING AT ALL.”
– Helen Keller
Hey, my name is Anabel!
I am a creator of travel guides and discoverer of once in a lifetime adventures. This blog is dedicated to shorten your time researching travel destinations so you have more hours to spend diving into the depths of the world. I am aspiring to become the go-to place for finding adventures, thrills and something different to do at the stroke of a fingertip with funny anecdotes and a lot of self-irony along the way.
THE CONTENT
Tried to conquer the world, got interrupted by Covid-19.
The content is focused on my most recent trip around South America, but Asia and Europe guides will follow. I try to make your travel experience easy by creating all-in-one, follow along hiking, city and country guides that inform you of all the different things a place has to offer from travel adventures, thrills, and something different to do rather than repeating the same-old highlights, to the best places to eat, where to stay, what to pack, and the best time to visit. So you never experience the heartbreaking realisation after moving onto the next travel adventure and that there would have been a higher, lesser-known mountain to conquer, white-water rafting and zip-lining instead of “just” hiking to be done, or the cheapest place to paraglide was just a short car journey away.
A LITTLE ABOUT ME
I am travelling for the journey not the destination. Well, the destination too but you get what I mean.
I am a Londoner by choice, Austrian by nature. With a confusing accent, I leave many fellow travellers with a baffled look on their face. I am a lover of adventure, long hikes, animals, surfing, diving with sharks, metropolitan cities, a good night out, socialising with locals, and as a fashion girl gone traveller an art enthusiast. My go-to camera is a 35 mm Pentax. That is if the shutter has not given up on me and weather conditions allow it.
My travel style is nor fast nor slow, extending my stay whenever it feels right. I like to climb mountains, then escape to a warm beach town to surf, whilst having a couple of drinks along the way. I am a female solo traveller but rarely travel alone. The more the merrier right?! I am budget conscious, enjoy long walks instead of taking public transport, and whenever possible or more economic, I organise explorations myself instead of joining a tour.
I love to connect, so feel free to reach out on social media or via e-mail! I am always open to ideas and collaborations – just drop me a message!
My reporting is unbiased and I have not been paid to promote any places or tour operators. The hostels, restaurants, and places I talk about are ones I visited – unless stated otherwise.
NOW GO AHEAD, EXPLORE THE WORLD. TRY NOT TO LOSE YOUR TOWEL!
Apologise for any grammar and spelling errors.
English is after all not my first language.
Although according to my mom my German isn’t any better!
